The annual Canadian RVing and Camping Week has shifted focus from a post-May long weekend event to a month long celebration in June.
Canadian RVing and Camping Month Dates: June 1 – June 30, 2025
This expanded month long initiative will foster broader participation from members, increase media exposure, generate political awareness through official proclamations, and encourage campgrounds to offer special promotions and events that elevate the profile of the RV and camping industry across Canada. This initiative will continue to include a charitable component to support Care Camps, further aligning the camping community with
giving back to those in need.
The Canadian RVing and Camping Month is designed to encourage Canadians and international visitors to get outside to enjoy a fun, safe and secure camping experience with family and friends.
The month is organized and sponsored by the Canadian Camping and RV Association and supported by the BC Lodging and Campgrounds Association to:
The celebration marks the official kickoff of Canada’s summer camping season. Canadian park owners put their own twist on celebrating the return of their campers during the month, it may be through events, discounted overnight fees, or fun activities.
For the past 4 years, the RVing and Camping week (and now the NEW CAMPING MONTH) has supported a good cause. The proceeds gathered from the celebration currently benefit Care Camps, a charity that helps children with cancer enjoy camping and spending time in nature.
The Canadian RV and Camping Industry contributes over CA$16.2 billion to the economy, employs 141,000 individuals, has seen its popularity boom amongst consumers since the COVID-19 pandemic.
Camping is an opportunity for families to spend time together, to create lifelong memories, and to discover Canada’s natural landscape.
Camping is outdoors, fun, safe and good for the well being of people.
Since 2021, British Columbia supporters have raised over $21,500 for Care Camps of Canada, which allows children living with cancer to enjoy the joy, healing and freedom that comes from attending specialized oncology camps where they can just be themselves. The camp experience equips them with the skills necessary to meet the challenges they will face while fighting their disease.
The British Columbia Lodging and Campgrounds Association represents the interests of independently owned and operated lodging, campgrounds, and RV parks and works for the betterment of these sectors of the tourism industry. The Association is a member of the Canadian Camping and RV Association, the national advocacy voice of campgrounds/RV parks across Canada.
