Camping Appreciation Weekend takes place the weekend after the Labour Day statutory holiday.
Upcoming dates:
The Camping Appreciation Weekend is when many Canadian privately operated campgrounds, coast-to-coast, say thank you to campers for their summer patronage.
Camping is an affordable family activity that promotes a sense of community, creates life-long memories and encourages Canadians and International visitors to discover Canada’s rich landscape and engage with nature.
Canadian park owners put their own twist on saying thank you to their campers during the week, it may be through events, discounted overnight fees, or fun activities.
Many operators donate $100 or more from booking revenues and fundraising to Care Camps, to help kids with cancer go to camp to find hope and healing in the outdoors.
Participating British Columbia Campgrounds are listed on the map located on travel-british-columbia.com – Many of these RV Parks also participate in the Canadian RVing and Camping Week next happening from May 21 – 26, 2024.
The Camping Appreciation Weekend is a national initiative coordinated by the Canadian Camping and RV Association.
The British Columbia Lodging and Campgrounds Association represents the interests of independently owned and operated lodging, campgrounds, and RV parks and works for the betterment of these sectors of the tourism industry. The Association is a member of the Canadian Camping and RV Association, the national advocacy voice of campgrounds/RV parks across Canada.
