Ideas Forum, one of Canada’s largest campground industry events, has been postponed until spring next year, British Columbia Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) Executive Director Joss Penny told Modern Campground.

“[W]e are polling the membership on dates, location, and virtual vs. onsite preferences,” Penny said.

BCLCA members and stakeholders were scheduled to meet in Kelowna this month for the 2022 Ideas Forum.

In August, Penny told MC that the conference will be in a hybrid format, allowing educational content to be more accessible for attendees anywhere and everywhere. The in-person aspect of the annual event was planned to take place at the Ramada Hotel & Conference Center.

Aside from educational sessions, an expo takes place every year, featuring vendors from the outdoor hospitality industry offering products and services that will benefit campground and RV park owners.

Cracker barrels are also an important element of the industry event, as these allow attendees to network and share knowledge with one another.

New dates and details about the 2023 conference are yet to be determined.

The article will be updated as more information becomes available.
