BCLCA Online Auction Benefiting Care Camps Now Live

Until May 29, the British Columbia Lodging and Campgrounds Association (BCLCA) is holding an online auction as part of its continued support of Care Camps of Canada.

Many items are available to bid on during the virtual auction dubbed “Auction 22”. Bidders can win glamping, cabin stays, experiences, gift cards, clothing, small appliances, and more.

The auction benefits Care Camps of Canada, and the money raised will help send children with cancer to medically-supervised camps to build memories and friendships through the great outdoors. The camp experience equips them with the necessary skills to face the challenges they will face while battling cancer.

BCLCA will also be having a donation draw. Every $22 donation constitutes an entry into a draw to be held live on Facebook on May 29 at 7:00 pm PST.

The funds raised this year already surpassed last year’s $3,140.06, with $4,134 raised as of May 6. Still, the Canadian province trade association encourages its members to share the auction and donation links with customers to help send more children to camp.

BCLCA aims to raise more than $22,000 this year as it takes $1,850 to send a child to camp for a week.

Anyone who wants to become an auction supporter by donating a gift certificate or item from their business may email Darlene@bclca.com.
